Alex Jones is a writer, cheesemonger, food educator, and regional food systems advocate who has been working with farmers and artisans in Pennsylvania for the past seven years. She is one-third of the team behind Collective Creamery, a women-powered artisan cheese subscription based in southeast Pennsylvania, and has written for publications like CivilEats.com, Edible Philly, Edible JerseyGrid, BillyPenn.com, and CiderCulture.com. She's also a contributing writer for Philadelphia magazine's food and drink blog. Alex leads cheese tastings as well as home cheesemaking classes in and around Philadelphia.

About Machine Shop Boulangerie:

Owned and Operated by Katie Lynch and Emily Riddel, Machine Shop’s small-batch, handcrafted approach means every item  holds the same mouthwatering, meticulously-developed flavor. Time and patience is as much an ingredient in our dough as the diverse spices, grains, and herbs used. Machine Shop earned its name from their space’s original tenant – “Shop Class” – in the Bok Building, a former technical high school. Now, we’re cranking out next level bread and pastries across Philadelphia.
