In this, one of the most famous cocktail book in history, Harry Craddock has compiled over 750 cocktails, including many famous cocktails that Craddock created himself. Its attractive art deco illustrated cover and many illustrations by Gilbert Rumbold compliment the amazing list of delicious cocktails. Craddock worked for years as a bartender in the United States until prohibition forced him back to London and to his most popular role, bartending at the Savoy's bar. While at the Savoy, Craddock complied this instantly famous cocktail book and published it in 1930, and later co-founded the United Kingdom Bartenders' Guild in 1934. This is a rare first impression of the classic cocktail book, including page number 3 on title page and errata slip for the Bacardi Cocktail tipped on page 25. A rare cocktail book in good condition.
